Larry Yates, accomplished musician, songwriter and Grammy nominee, is the author and illustrator of The Greedy Mouth books. Born and raised in Grenada, Mississippi,
he is the father of three children, and currently resides in Marina del Rey, California.
Larry spent his childhood exploring nature, drawing, playing the bass guitar and discussing the
world with his brother Bobby and Uncle John. For over twenty years, he has been a singer, songwriter, producer,
musician, and entrepreneur in the music industry and released three of his own albums.
Yates is a prominent consultant to artists
and label executives and has worked closely with industry legends James Ingram, Smokey Robinson and Lamont Dozier. He
is an entrepreneur, and the founder and CEO of Key Note Entertainment, a marketing consulting, publishing and distribution
company.
Larry
Yates also shares his expertise with political leaders, most recently consulting with State Senator David Jordan and Governors
Haley Barbour and Ronnie Musgrove in the planning of the Mississippi Blues Commission.
Yates
has been an advocate of healthy eating and exercise since his youth. He taught his children the importance of exercise and
proper hygiene and is proud to see them as fit, athletic adults.
